Bart Veldhuizen is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Transportation Strategy at Hudson Structured Capital Management Ltd.
Most recently, Mr. Veldhuizen served on the Board of Managing Directors of DVB Bank SE from 2015-2017 where he was, amongst others, responsible for the bank’s shipping & offshore franchises and investment banking activities. Prior to DVB, through his private company Swaen Marine, he advised various credit and Private equity funds on a variety of shipping investments in both the credit and hard asset spaces. Prior to founding Swaen Marine, he was the managing director and head of shipping of Lloyds Banking Group.
Currently, Mr.Veldhuizen serves as a Director of the Eagle Bulk Shipping since the company’s restructuring in October 2014. Mr. Veldhuizen is a former director of Seadrill Partners LLC and Golar LNG Partners LP as well as a Board Member of A.R. Investments PTE Ltd.
Mr. Veldhuizen started his career with Van Ommeren Shipping and has held numerous roles at Nedship Bank (now known as DVB Bank), Smit International, and NIBC Bank, a Dutch-based merchant bank.
Mr. Veldhuizen graduated from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands with a degree in Business Economics.
