Liz Mitchell is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Re/Insurance Strategy at HSCM Bermuda Management Company.
Most recently, Ms. Mitchell served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Renaissance Reinsurance US Inc. Prior to RenRe, Ms. Mitchell served as President and CEO of Platinum Underwriters Reinsurance, Inc. from 2005-2015. Prior to serving as President and CEO she held the position of Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Platinum US. Prior to Platinum, Ms. Mitchell held several senior positions at St. Paul Companies, English & American Insurance Group and Tillinghast. Ms. Mitchell began her career at the Insurance Services Office in 1985.
Ms. Mitchell serves on the Board of Directors of StanCorp Financial Group, Inc, where she serves on the Audit and Governance & Nominating committees. Ms. Mitchell is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of many industry groups including the American Academy of Actuaries, Professional Liability Underwriters Society, and the Association of Professional Insurance Women.
Ms. Mitchell graduated as Valedictorian and a member of Phi Beta Kappa from College of the Holy Cross with a Bachelor of Arts.
