Bernard Opoku

Bernard Opoku is a Partner and Chief Financial Officer at Hudson Structured Capital Management Ltd.

With over 16 years of experience in financial services, Mr. Opoku brings a unique blend of expertise in asset management, insurance-linked securities, and financial advisory. Prior to joining HSCM, he spent six years at KPMG Bermuda, where he served as a Senior Manager in the Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) audit practice, advising clients at the forefront of the convergence between insurance and capital markets.

Before relocating to Bermuda, Mr. Opoku worked in London, providing financial audit and advisory to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across various industries. His early career laid a strong foundation in financial reporting, risk management, and strategic advisory.

Mr. Opoku holds a First Class BSc in Mathematics, Statistics, and Financial Economics from Queen Mary University of London. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Bermuda.

Known for his analytical rigor, leadership, and cross-border financial expertise, Mr. Opoku continues to contribute to the evolution of structured finance and insurance-linked investment strategies.
