Gokul Sudarsana is a Managing Director, Chief Actuary and Chief Investment Officer – Life at HSCM Bermuda Management Company with primary responsibilities in the Re/Insurance Strategy.
Most recently, Mr. Sudarsana led Deloitte’s actuarial service offerings in Bermuda and the Caribbean where he helped a diverse range of Bermuda and international clients with financial and solvency reporting, accounting and actuarial transformation, pricing and structuring risk transfer solutions, M&A due diligence, and regulatory/market analysis.
Prior to Deloitte, Mr. Sudarsana led internal capital modelling for Sun Life Financial. In this role, he developed enterprise-wide economic capital modeling capabilities, and was responsible for the production and reporting of the ORSA.
He has previously held roles with Munich Re including actuarial modelling, pricing and risk management. He also previously held a pricing role in the Canadian pension risk transfer market with Sun Life Financial, as well as risk management roles at TD Asset Management and Canadian Western Bank.
Mr. Sudarsana graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics in Actuarial Science. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst and a Financial Risk Manager.
